In the winter of 2010, my family and I embarked on a Christmas vacation to Berlin. One of our stops was the renowned Berlin Zoo, home to one of the world’s largest animal collections. While the zoo boasts a diverse range of species, it was the polar bear Knut that truly stole the show.
Knut, a polar bear cub who captured the hearts of millions worldwide, was tragically lost in March 2011. I feel fortunate to have had the opportunity to witness his charm during our visit. This blog post serves as a tribute to this beloved animal.
In future posts, I’ll share more about our winter adventures in Berlin, highlighting some of the city's most beautiful and historic sites. Stay tuned!
